Betty killed my social life

Many people inspire me in many different ways. Last week I went to the Royal Festival Hall to see my all time number one hero, Neil Hannon, but that is another blog. what all of my hero's have in common is their strength of spirit, their beautiful souls, the value that they add to my life.

I was introduced to Lolly Mack by my hugely talented friend 'Mad Michelle'. The pair of them worked together in Space NK before Michelle taught herself her genius photography talent and before Lolly's accident. Michelle has taken some stunning pictures of Lolly and Lolly wanted to showcase herself and her cause, with a website. It was to be 'pink', 'glamorous', 'editable' and with a background slider like the one on Madonna's site (but better).

When I decided to learn how to use Zend Framework, I wanted a detailed tutorial to follow. I really wanted to build my own blog. So I googled until I came across a fantastically detailed and well explained online book by Pádraic Brady called Survive the Deep End. Unfortunately, as of writing, it is still incomplete and has not been edited since 2009. So I followed the tutorial as far as it went and then I completed the code to suit my requirements. You are looking at the result so far.
